SEO for the modern web: From Google rankings to AI citations.

Search is changing, but the core need remains the same: being visible where your audience is looking. We combine technical SEO fundamentals with modern optimizations for AI search—improving your Google rankings, optimizing site performance, and ensuring AI assistants can find, read, and cite your brand with confidence.

Search Engine Optimization

What SEO actually is

The two components of SEO: technical structure and content strategy

Having a favorable search ranking comes down to a small number of questions. The first are what we call technical SEO: can a search engine find and read every page you want it to and is your content structured in a way that makes it easy for it to understand what is important? The second area is content strategy: does the page contain unique, useful content that people are searching for? Does the rest of the internet treat you as a credible source by linking to your site?

Our SEO approach tackles both of these. First, we audit your site to ensure you have the right technical foundations in place. Then we use search data and industry competitors to highlight areas where your content could be improved and potential strategies to build viable inbound links to your site. After our initial review, we can implement the technical recommendations while you have a roadmap to longer-term content strategy.

Services

What we do

How we approach improving your search performance.

Competitor analysis

Before deciding what to change on your site, it is worth knowing what you are up against. We identify who is actually ranking for the searches that matter to you and work through what those pages are doing: how they are structured, what topics and content they cover, how quickly they load, and what other sites on the internet are linking to them. This information guides the rest of the engagement - determining relevant keywords, page and title tag considerations, and informing our content and backlink-building recommendations.

Technical SEO audit

A full crawl of your site to find what is blocking search engines: indexing and robots.txt problems, broken and chained redirects, duplicate content, missing or duplicated title tags and meta descriptions, thin pages, orphaned pages, broken internal links, canonical errors and mobile usability failures. You get a written report that prioritizes issues by impact.

Core Web Vitals and page speed

Google measures the speed and loading performance of your site and uses it as a ranking input ("Google Pagespeed"). A slow site also loses visitors before they spend any time on your pages. We measure your current site performance, identify what is causing performance issues (usually images, fonts, third-party scripts or a slow host) and how to fix it. Hosting is frequently the bottleneck, which is one reason we run our own.

Local SEO

For a business serving a local area, local results matter more than national rankings. We set up and optimize your Google Business Profile, make sure your name, address and phone number are consistent everywhere they appear,, add location-appropriate content, and mark it all up so search engines can parse it.

Structured data

Schema - or structured data - is machine readable code that makes it easy for search engines and AI crawlers to understand and index core information about your business. We implement schema.org markup that produces enhanced search listings — organization and local business details, breadcrumbs, articles, FAQs, products, events and reviews as appropriate.

Measurement and reporting

We ensure Google Search Console is configured properly, there analytics are in place, and capture a baseline before we change anything so there is something to compare against. Without a baseline, nobody can tell whether the work helped.

Content guidance

While we are not a content agency, what we can do is tell you which pages and topics will drive additional search volume, and analyze your existing content for best practices. We also identify opportunities - industry publications, blogs, and podcasts - that will be helpful in improving your overall site reputation by generating high quality inbound links ("backlinks"). Implementing a sustainable backlink strategy takes time, but is ultimately the difference between a first page ranking and being buried in the third or fourth page of search results.

Boundaries

What we won't do

A short list that differentiates us from other SEO providers.

  • Guarantee rankings. Nobody can. Organic placement is not for sale and the algorithms change constantly.
  • Buy links or use link networks. Real risk of a penalty, diminishing returns, and it is against search engine guidelines.
  • Publish AI-generated filler. Volume for the sake of volume does not work any more and makes your site worse to read.
  • Lock you into a retainer. If the work is worth doing, you will keep asking us to do it.
  • Hide the report. The audit is yours, written so anyone can act on it.

Pricing

What it costs

A flat fee for the audit, then our standard hourly rate to fix what we find.

Implementation

$105 /hour

Fixing what the audit found, billed for actual time. Many of the highest-impact items take under an hour each. You can also implement the recommendations yourself, or we can engage in a shared effort. We will provide an estimate for resolution once the audit is complete.

  • Technical fixes and redirects
  • Titles, descriptions and internal linking
  • Structured data implementation
  • Google Business Profile setup

Ongoing SEO support is available month to month for clients who want continued monitoring, reporting and incremental work. Because the right scope varies so much between sites, we quote it after the audit rather than publishing a number that would be wrong for most people. It is always flexible and there is no obligation.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can you guarantee I will rank first for my keywords?
No, and neither can anyone else. Search engines do not sell placement in organic results and their ranking systems change constantly. What we can guarantee is that your site will be crawlable, fast, accurately described, correctly marked up and properly listed locally — the parts that are actually within anyone's control. Be cautious of any provider who promises a specific ranking.
How long before I see results?
Technical fixes such as indexing errors, broken redirects and page speed can show up within days to a few weeks once search engines recrawl. Local listing corrections often move faster than that. Anything driven by content and reputation is a matter of months, not weeks.
Do I have to sign a long contract?
No. The audit is a flat $850 with a written deliverable at the end. Implementation is then billed hourly at $105/hr like everything else we do. If you want ongoing help, it is month to month and you can stop whenever you like.
Will the audit be useful if I do not hire you to fix things?
Yes. The audit is written as a prioritized list of specific issues with enough detail that any competent developer can act on it, including your existing one. We would rather you get the work done than have the report only be usable by us.
Can you get my business into ChatGPT or Google AI Overviews?
We can make it considerably more likely, and nobody can do more than that honestly. There is no submission form, no ranking report and no paid placement for AI answers. What helps is making sure you are not blocking the AI crawlers, marking your pages up with structured data, answering questions directly near the top of a page rather than burying the point, keeping your business details consistent everywhere they appear, and being present in the directories and reviews these systems read. Most of it is the same work that helps you rank normally.
What is the difference between SEO, AEO, GEO and AIO?
Mostly marketing. AEO (answer engine optimization), GEO (generative engine optimization) and AIO (AI optimization) all describe getting cited by AI assistants rather than ranked in a list of links. The tactics overlap heavily with ordinary SEO, because these systems read the same web pages search engines do.
Do I need an llms.txt file?
Probably not urgently. It is a proposed file that tells AI systems what your site contains. Google has publicly stated it does not use it, and adoption sits at roughly one site in ten. It costs almost nothing for us to add and we will happily do so, but it is currently the centerpiece of a lot of expensive "AI SEO" packages, and there is not much evidence behind that price tag yet.
Do you do link building?
Not in the way it is usually sold. We do not buy links, use private blog networks or run link exchange schemes — these carry real risk of a penalty and their effect has been declining for years. We will help with the legitimate version: identifying opportunities for you to get links from high reputation sources - industry publications, blogs, podcasts, and similar. Improving inbound links takes time and involves effort - but it is one of the most effective long term strategies to boost your ranking once the fundamentals are in place.
What is structured data and do I need it?
Structured data is machine-readable markup that tells search engines what a page is about — that this is a local business with these hours, that this is an article by this author, that these are frequently asked questions. It is what produces the enhanced results you see in search listings. It will not by itself move you up the rankings, but it makes your existing listings more informative and more likely to be clicked.
